Whipped vs regular shea butter

Regular shea butter is usually firm at room temperature. You scoop a little, warm it between your hands until it softens, then smooth it on. Whipped shea butter has been beaten into a lighter, softer texture, so it spreads more easily straight from the bowl.

Texture

The main difference is how it feels to use. Regular shea butter can feel dense and takes a moment to melt. Whipped shea butter feels airy and soft, which many people find easier for daily use.

What’s in BOKOO

BOKOO is whipped Ghanaian shea butter blended with shea oil. The shea oil helps keep the texture soft and spreadable. Those are the only two ingredients.

Which one to choose

Both are shea butter — it comes down to how you like to use it. If you prefer something that spreads easily on hands, elbows, knees, or dry ends of hair, whipped is a simple choice. If you don’t mind warming it first, regular works too.

How to use it

Warm a little between your palms and smooth onto dry skin. A little at a time, wherever you need it.
